The Sony DSC-H10 is a full-featured point-and-shoot with outstanding high-power zoom capability. It includes Smile Shutter technology to help capture smiles automatically as they happen, as well as Face Detection technology to optimize focus, exposure and color for up to eight faces. Capture detailed images with 8.1-megapixel resolution, and get in close to the action with the 10x optical zoom Carl Zeiss lens. Sony’s Double Anti-Blur solution helps keep your images blur-free, and a tiltable 3.0-inch ClearPhoto LCD Plus display that lets you easily view your images and menu options.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 reviews from Cnet -

The good:

* Capable of excellent photos outdoors in good light
* Compact and comfortable

The bad:

* No semi-manual exposure modes
* Lens distortion
* No zooming during movie capture
* Poor high-ISO noise profile
* So-so auto white balance indoors

The bottomline:

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 is a decent budget superzoom that can deliver very nice outdoor shots, but its photo quality falls short in other respects.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 reviews from Amazon - So this camera is best used outside or with lots of lighting. Also great for outdoor activities, but not so great for indoor activities. I really like this camera and most of it’s pictures, but it just wasn’t what I was looking for, I need something that will take great movement pictures indoors as well as outdoor and has a better “non-blur” feature.

Bottom Line -

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10’s unique features are overshadowed by poor flash image quality and iffy face detection. If you’re in the market for a budget superzoom, better, lower-priced options are out there.

Pros -

Large 3-inch screen. Can preview ISO settings on the LCD. Little noise in low-light shots. Sports-shooting scene mode for capturing clear, fast-action shots.

Cons -

Faulty face detection. Flash shots are overexposed. No optical viewfinder. Plastic body feels a bit flimsy.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 reviews from DpReview

The H10 is a compact long-zoom point and shoot camera that reliably takes pictures in Auto mode and offers good value for money. There are a few negatives you should have in mind but image quality is decent. Most of all, like its predecessor it is a fun-to-use camera that you can carry wherever you go.
