Sigma DP1 Review
The Sigma DP1 is a camera, first and foremost. For still photography, it has the MAAPS modes (Manual, Auto, Aperture-priority, Program, and Shutter-priority) and that’s it — just your good old-fashioned basic shooting modes on this puppy. The mode dial also includes a QVGA video mode (320 x 240 @ 30fps) and an audio capture mode.
Sigma DP1 Digital Camera Reviews:-
Imaging-resource.com about Sigma DP1 Digital Camera Review:- The Foveon X3 image sensor is coupled to a 16.6mm lens with a focal length crop equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm camera. The lens has a maximum aperture of f/4. Keeping lens size and weight down for a compact camera that uses a sensor not a lot smaller than those used in most DSLRs must have proved quite a challenge, and the lack of an optical zoom and maximum aperture limitation hint at this. The DP1’s lens also supports manual focus.
PhotoReview.au about Sigma DP1 Digital Camera Review:- If you are prepared to shoot raw files, convert them into 16-bit TIFF with the slightly quirky Sigma Photo Pro software and then work on them in a sophisticated image editor, the rewards are there in the form of images with an excellent dynamic range and rich, natural-looking colours.
Dpreview.com about Sigma DP1 Digital Camera Review:- The direct image sensor featured in the SIGMA DP1 ensures the capture of full and complete color. This camera incorporates both RAW and JPEG image recording formats enabling photographers to capture the highest possible picture definition and smaller file sizes.
