Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 (black) Reviews
Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-FZ18 is a powerful “ultra-zoom” models that includes some very high- end features in a compact, stylish, and easy to use package. It combines an 8-megapixel image sensor, mated to a very versatile 18x optical zoom lens as well as Panasonic’s new Intelligent Auto mode, WVGA (848 x 480, 30fps) widescreen movie mode, and not to mention their ever popular MEGA O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer) system. The newly developed 28mm wide angle 18x optical zoom lens in the DMC-FZ18 boasts notable optical performance and compactness, to open the door for the new world of expression that has ever been thought impossible with a single compact camera.

What I like:
* Huge zoom range 28mm - 504mm!
* High quality wide angle Leica 18x optical zoom lens
* Good image quality - excellent colour
* Good video mode - 16:9, VGA, 30fps, Sound
* Stylish, well designed, and easy to use
* Custom White Balance
* Solid body with good build quality
* Very fast high speed continuous shooting mode (3fps)
* Quick camera - Fast shot to shot time etc
* Very good macro mode
* Very little red-eye in photos
What I don’t like:
* High ISO images are blurred and lack detail. (due to noise being removed)
* Some noise noticable even in ISO100 photos.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 (black) Reviews From cnet
The good: Wide-angle, long zoom lens; nice set of shooting features.
The bad: Camera’s JPEG processing choices can produce suboptimal results; no zoom in movie capture; sluggish LCD/EVF update.
The bottom line: A decent but not great camera, the megazoom Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 still manages to outdo its few competitors.
