Nikon D60 Review
Nikon kept the successful concept of the D40 / D40x and improved it or added the latest innovations where possible. The concept consists of a solid base proven by the popularity of the aforementioned models. Whether Nikon will be as successful with the Nikon D60 as with the other models will not depend on the quality, for the quality is excellent.
Nikon D60 Digital Camera Reviews
Dpreview.com about Nikon D60 Digital Camera Review:- The difference that will benefit most people is the inclusion of the recently released anti-shake (VR) version of Nikon’s 18-55mm lens in the standard D60 kit.
A lot of the other differences appear to be on the marketing side of the development process. The D40X was announced 10 months ago, so the refresh may have provided a good opportunity to make a clearer distinction between this model and the D40. The other intangible change is Nikon’s statement that the D60 is built around its Expeed “processing concept.” We’ll be interested to see whether any appreciable differences turn up in our timing or comparison tests.
Photographyblog.com about Nikon D60 Digital Camera Review:- The D60 has the same external design, 10.2 megapixel sensor, ISO range of 100 to 3200, 3 point auto-focus system, 3D Colour Matrix Metering II, 3fps continuous shooting speed and 2.5 inch LCD screen as the D40x. All of the important changes are therefore internal. Nikon have implemented the same EXPEED image processing engine that all of their DSLR cameras now use, promising better image quality. There’s also a refined dust-reduction system, with the new Airflow Control System using air-pressure to help prevent dust from reaching the sensor.
CameraLabs about Nikon D60 Digital Camera Review:- Great little camera but it does have its faults as in the Active D-Lighting which can bring out detail in shadow areas, but generally at the cost of noise in the latter. The greatest new option of the camera is the option to buy it with an affordable stabilized lens namely the Nikkor DX 18-55mm VR which is a brilliant and affordable option. This lens delivers great quality photos that are sharp edge to edge. In the end the D60 has easy to navigate menus, difficult to fool metering and great photos using the automatic settings.
