Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Reviews:-

Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Review which is taken from Reviews.cnet:- No manual exposure controls; on/off button a bit awkward; noisy images at ISO 1,600.Designwise, the SD850 IS is almost identical to the SD700 IS. The only real difference is the colors that adorn its body. That means that Canon hasn’t fixed the wacky on/off button that irked us on last year’s model. It sits to the right of the tiny viewfinder above the 2.5-inch LCD screen on the camera back. The button is in an awkward place and is also rather small and completely flush with the camera back. We’ve never had much of a problem with positioning the power button atop the camera and aren’t sure why Canon decided to put it here in the first place.

Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Review which is taken from Digitalcamerareview:- The Canon SD850 IS is a stylish, well-built compact digital camera that produces great quality images and color while requiring minimal involvement from its operator. The camera lacks manual controls, but offers a number of specialized scene modes in addition to the standard “auto” shooting mode, as well as image stabilization, up to 1600 ISO sensitivity and good shutter response time. The 4x zoom lens lacks the focal length to bring distant objects truly close, but for normal subjects the camera performs admirably.

Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Review which is taken from Dpreview:-  The high resolution (230k pixels) PureColor LCD screens gives users a number of visual benefits. Colour tones have been enhanced by 30% for vibrant, true-to-life reproduction. The wide viewing angle of the screen is complemented by an anti-reflective coating, which makes it easy to compose and review images even in brightly-lit conditions. A scratch-resistant layer provides extra protection against knocks and scrapes.

Settings for shutter speed and aperture are now displayed on the LCD during shooting. When using Auto ISO and High ISO Auto, the LCD will also display the ISO speed. These camera settings are now recorded as EXIF data for review in playback.                    canogh

Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Review which is taken from Reviews.digitaltrends:- I’ve been using this around NYC for the past few weeks. It’s been absolutely perfect. The optical image stabilizer is far better than any of the other digicams on the market and comes in handy when taking pictures indoors, in dim light, or at night. The time-to-shoot is really fast. Lastly, I actually like where the power button is, it prevents you from accidentally hitting it in your pocket. I was in the air between a DSLR (Nikon D40) and this; went with this one because you can carry it in your pocket. It’s certainly not an SLR, but it’s an 85-90% substitute.

Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Review which is taken from Digitalcamera-hq:- Having gotten past the Canon SD750 fiasco, [see review 16th July] I was still interested in Canon as opposed to other brands. I carefully checked out reviews on this camera at various sites and could find no faults. I physically visited a number of stores and tried a few different models of Canon and Sony. This model came up tops each time. It does everything the average camera buff could possibly want and the image stabiliser is a definite bonus. Brilliant camera and I can highly recommend it.
